More about the AVE Madrid Valladolid
Between the towns of Madrid and Valladolid there are 161 km and you will be able to advance this distance by AVE in an average of 58 minutes. You can also reach Valladolid Campo Grande from other Spanish cities, such as from León or Palencia.
The station is called Valladolid Campo Grande and it is at the main entrance of the city. The original station were more austere and small. There was a temporary wooden station until it was too small and they had to build the new one above the old one. It was the engineer Enrique Grasset, of French origin, who was in charge of this new project. It took the eclectic French style as a reference for the design of the new station.
The shape of U was the one that gave personality and power to this station, the main façade is formed by a triumphal arch composed of three arches separated by pillars. These are the accesses for the passenger.
The trains passing through the tracks of this eclectic station are the Talgos also known as "Pato" (duck), the High Speed, with AVE trains connecting Madrid-Chamartín with Palencia and León and Avant connecting Valladolid with Segovia and Madrid.
